The Ashley Centre will be holding a series of children’s summer activities and workshops.
The free interactive workshops on offer are internet awareness, mindfulness, road safety, nutrition, anti- bullying and sustainability.
Until August 29, from 10.30am to 4.30pm outside House of Fraser, children can come along and take part in the free activities and learn about a different topic each week.
On Wednesday, August 15, Nancy Nutrition will help children build their own healthy plate learning about the difference between carbs, protein and fats and how great nutrients are.
On Wednesday, August 22, the emphasis is on anti-bullying when Bea Bully will show how NOT to treat other people and teach children how to detect and prevent bullying and treat other people with kindness.
Finally on Wednesday, August 29, energy saving, recycling and preserving nature will be the theme with Susie Sustainable.
These are not supervised play schemes and parents and guardians are requested to stay with their children and join in the fun. Booking is not necessary.
