It is sad news for racing fans in Epsom as ‘greatest flat race in the world’ will not be going ahead this year.
For 15 years the Omni Terrier Derby has been the utmost authority to finding the fastest four-legged terriers.
But what will no doubt come as disappointment to many, this year's race has been cancelled.
An announcement was made on the derby's website which said that "unfortunately, due to illness, this year's Omni Terrier Derby is cancelled."
The event was meant to take place on Sunday, August 26 at the Epsom Racecourse.
But fear not, as this is not the end for the much-loved event.
"It’s very sad after 15 hilarious years," the statement continued.
"But we will be back next year."
