Two boys from Ewell Castle School came home from the ISTA Tennis Championships at Eton College with trophies this year.
Alex Burgoyne and Zacheus Fotofili, who are both in Year 8, won the John Barrett Consolation Shield, fending off competition from 84 schools that took part in the Under 13 competition.
Elizabeth McManus, head of the Tennis Academy at Ewell Castle School, said: “I’m so proud of all our pupils in the Ewell Castle School Tennis Academy team who played with so much determination throughout the season and a particular mention to our U13 boys duo who won the John Barrett Consolation Plate this year, rounding off what has been a successful summer of tennis.
“It’s been a fantastic year for us, I’m pleased that the hard work and dedication of the players has paid off and I’m looking forward to our Tennis Academy teams doing even better next year.”
