MGSO4 Arts Festival, which celebrates the 400-year anniversary of the discovery of Epsom Salts, has been hailed a success.
The festival, named after the chemical formula for Epsom Salts, ran from July 2-8 and featured seven days of exciting events inspired by Epsom Salts.
Highlights of the festival included a dissolving multi-coloured communal sculpture made from the salts, a new piece of music telling the story of their discovery and performances from artists, authors and performers from all over the country.
Festival director Maria Reeves says: “The festival created unique moments that reached out across the community.
“We have been lucky to work with some inspirational artists who have given us a new take on our heritage. Thanks to all those who joined in, and to our volunteers and sponsors, without whom the festival would not be possible.”
