They might only be old enough to play with the plastic toy version, but that hasn't one group of nursery kids having a day out at the fire station.
Teachers at Treetops Nursery in Epsom thought it would be a good idea to get out of the classroom and experience a taste of what it is like to fight fires for a living.
Although the kids weren't able to fight any fires, they were able to fulfill everyone's dream and fire off the big hose.
It wasn't just the kids who enjoyed themselves either.
The nursery's Rosie Upjohn was pleased to see a fun-filled day.
"We had such an amazing time," she said.
"A great learning experience for all my pre-school children."
