A witness appeal has been issued after a car overturned in a collision on a main road in Epsom on Thursday evening.
A tweet from Surrey Police confirmed the incident had occurred on Longmead Road at the junction with Gibraltar Crescent, and had resulted in a "serious injury." The road was closed while the scene was cleared.
At the time, images appeared on Twitter of a Volkswagen that had overturned, apparently as a result of a collision.
Surrey Police have confirmed that the car overturned after the driver of another car - a Range Rover - crashed into it. The woman in the overturned car had to be cut free by fire crews.
