Citizens Advice is walking 10km in the name of justice and free legal aid for all.

Last year, 12,000 people took part in the 10km London Legal Walk, raising a record-breaking £800,000.

Epsom & Ewell Citizens Advice completed the walk in 2017 and is planning to do so again on May 21.

Peter Edwards, chair, was in last year's team. He said: “It was great fun - our team was a mix of staff and volunteers.

"We got sponsored by friends, relatives and supporters and raised £1,600 for our charity.

"All we had to do was turn up. It takes around three hours and everyone just seems to spill out of their offices after lunch to take part.

"A great atmosphere and a street party to finish. And all for a worthy cause.”

London Legal Support Trust signpost the route through the royal parks and provide stewards, free bottles of water and a street party at the end of the walk.

Through events like this they support over 100 organisations in London and the south east each year - all funds raised support free legal advice.

Epsom & Ewell Citizens Advice helps local people resolve the difficult problems they may face in life.

Supported by local volunteers, it provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities.

If you would like to get involved by walking with Epsom & Ewell Citizens Advice or sponsoring the team, get in touch at pf@caee.org,.uk

There’s no entry fee, but walkers are asked to raise as much sponsorship as they can.
