A new preparatory school is celebrating its early success with 11+ exams.

The very first year six pupils at Banstead Prep School, in Sutton Lane, have set a high standard for the children who will follow them in the future.

Between the 22 pupils, they have achieved an impressive 48 offers of places at 16 independent senior schools and grammar schools.

Vicky Ellis, Headteacher said: “I can’t tell you how proud I am of the remarkable success of our Year six pupils this year. They have all have worked very hard to realise their individual goals.

“Perhaps even more importantly, I know that they have been able to gain entrance to schools where they will be happy and I am confident that each of them will continue to achieve great things as they continue their education."

Eight scholarships for academic achievement or talent in sport, art or music were also awarded to Banstead Prep pupils.

The highest number of offers came from Epsom College, Caterham School, Reigate Grammar School, St John's School, Dunottar School and Ewell Castle.
