Morrisons supermarket is recalling its Penne Bolognese Bake 400g because of “undeclared celery”, which is in the product but not on the label.
This is a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to celery.
The supermarket chain advises: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to celery, do not eat it.
“Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
“No other products or date codes of this product are affected by this issue.
“We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”
Along with recalling the product, Morrisons has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, who have told their members about the situation.
