A puppy ambassador greeted shoppers in Epsom today to wag his tail in appreciation of their fundraising efforts.

Ashley, The Ashley Centre’s sponsored puppy for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association Epsom Branch, visited the centre today (February 15) to thank customers for donating money to fund his training.

David Beddows, General Manager, said: “The Epsom Branch of Guide Dogs for the Blind is one of our chosen charities.

"We pledged to support them to raise enough money to sponsor a puppy but thanks to the generosity of our shoppers the collections, tombolas, activities and information stands held in the Centre each month have raised an incredible £11,564.93 enough to sponsor two puppies!

"The funding will enable these puppies to start their journey to become a life-changing companion for an adult or child with sight loss.

"We are now hoping that our continued support could mean that four puppies can be sponsored, a big increase from the original plan of one!”
