If you’ve ever been criticised for having a zombie-like demeanour by your boss, you could be the perfect candidate for this creepy career change.

Thorpe Park is going to extreme lengths to hire scare actors by holding auditions on one of its iconic rollercoasters, 127 feet off the ground.

Here are some appropriately deadpan photos of what a good zombie interview might look like:

Epsom Guardian:

"And what would you say is your greatest weakness?"

Epsom Guardian:

"Tell me of a difficult situation you've faced at work, and how you dealt with it."Epsom Guardian:

"If you were an animal, what would you be?"

These dizzying interviews are taking place ahead of Thorpe Park's announcement that they’ll be staging another year of events in conjunction with the global TV phenomenon, AMC’s The Walking Dead.

Wannabe zombies are required to meet strict ‘scare-factor’ criteria including the ability to frighten guests in any environment, coping with sudden screams, and keeping in character in any situation.

Applicants must be available from when Thorpe Park re-opens to the public on March 23, 2018.

The Year of The Walking Dead events that will take place include:

  • The Walking Dead Living Nightmare Extreme (the live action maze at its most terrifying) available only for May Half Term (May 25 – June 3)
  • Summer late night opening until 10pm (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from July 26 – September 1)
  • Zombie Hunt – an extreme battle for survival in woodland on the outskirts of Thorpe Park Resort for the six weeks of summer (July 21 – September 3)
  • Fright Nights – the hugely popular season returns to Thorpe Park Resort with a The Walking Dead theme (October 5 – October 31)
