A primary school has celebrated the completion of its building works.
Richmond Park MP Zac Goldsmith was invited to officially open the extension at East Sheen Primary School at a special assembly last week.
Mr Goldsmith was joined by pupils to cut the ribbon.
The school, rated Outstanding by Ofsted, has expanded to accomodate three forms of entry after a request from Richmond Council in 2015 and work started the following summer.
This means it will take an additional 30 children a year to meet the increasing demand in the area.
At the opening ceremoney, Year 6 performed a poem they had written on the theme of 'new'. Mr Goldsmith also opened a mosaic which has taken seven years to create and involved more than 1,000 children, guided by artist John O'Brien.
