A cyclist has been hospitalised with serious injuries following a crash on Reigate Road this morning.
The crash, which happened around 6am, is currently being investigated and the road remains closed.
Surrey Police said: “We are attending an incident on A240 Reigate Road.
“A man believed to be riding a push bike was involved in an incident on the road at approximately 6am this morning.
“He has been taken to hospital, suffering serious injuries.
“The road is closed northbound between Yew Tree Bottom Road and Rose Bushes, Tattenham Corner while officers investigate the circumstances around this incident.
“Road users are advised to seek other routes until the road reopens.”
The road has now been re-opened, as of 2pm.
