New technology has transformed the way elderly residents’ needs are tracked at a Banstead old people's home. Sunrise of Banstead.
Sunrise of Banstead in Croydon Lane has introduced Sunrise CareConnect, which is an electronic health record system which tracks individual resident care plans according to their personal preferences and care needs.
Staff will have access to the information they need to deliver tailored care, with the software monitoring changes to health conditions and recording residents’ personal preferences, including favourite desserts and activities.
Suzanne Spurgin, general and registered manager at Sunrise of Banstead, said: “As a community, we have always been committed to ensuring that residents live enriched and fulfilling lives, and this innovative software will allow us to do just that.
“Sunrise CareConnect will ensure that residents get the most out of their tailored care programmes, while giving our dedicated care teams the brilliant opportunity to further maximise the support and levels of care delivered to residents.”
The launch of Sunrise CareConnect in the UK is set to further enhance the communication and coordination across care teams to deliver the best personalised care for residents.
