Four of Epsom’s green spaces have been given a prestigious award.
Epsom Common Local Nature Reserve, Ewell Court Park, Alexandra Recreation Ground and Roseberry Park have all been recognised again in the Green Flag Award Scheme.
They are among 1,797 green spaces and parks in the UK to be awarded.
The status is a signal to the public that the space has the highest possible environmental standards, is well maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.
Epsom and Ewell Council’s community and wellbeing committee chairman Barry Nash said: “We know how much quality green spaces matter to residents and visitors, and this award celebrates the dedication that goes into maintaining our spaces to such a high standard.
“We are absolutely delighted to receive these Green Flag Awards which not only reflects the hard work of our staff and also the input from community groups and volunteers”
