To celebrate the world’s greatest horseracing flat race and as part of the Epsom Derby Festival Week, The Ashley Centre will be hosting fashion events for racegoers plus some great children’s entertainment during the half term week in the run up to the Epsom Derby.
 
On Friday 26 and Saturday 27 May from 11.00am until 4.30pm in The Ashley Centre there will be fashion shows on the hour each hour highlighting the latest looks from The Ashley Centre retailers for those interested in style at the races.

Showcasing both outfits and accessories this is a must-see event for the fashion conscious racing fan. The Sunnybank Trust are also featured on the fashion shows at 12noon and 1pm, Dorothy Watson from The Sunnybank Trust said: “We are thrilled to be involved with the Derby Fashion Show and delighted that the Ashley Centre has included Sunnybank models to break the stigma of learning disability. Fashion is for everyone!”
 
Highly acclaimed tapas restaurant El Patio in Epsom Square is delighted to be part of the Epsom Derby Festival Week and they will be coming in to offer visitors mouth-watering tasters of parma ham, olives and tapas.
 
From Monday 29 May until Thursday 1 June there will be a range of free craft activities and entertainment in The Ashley Centre for children to enjoy between 10.30am and 4.30pm. The activities will include horse clay play, making rocking horse models, designing and making winning rosettes and an exciting interactive horse race ride.
 
Please note the children’s entertainments are not supervised plays chemes and parents are requested to stay with their children and join in the fun. 
 
And finally don’t miss the wooden horses on display throughout the Ashley Centre all week decorated by local schools in their own school colours!
