Hampton & Richmond Borough might have missed out on a lucrative FA Cup run at the weekend, but Hampton & Richmond Borough boss Alan Dowson says he is under no pressure to sell his star men.

Nicke Kabamba and Jamal Lowe have started the new season in flying style after Dowson commented in the summer that he would be surprised if the pair were still at the club after January.

Kabamba was on the scoresheet as the Beavers were dumped out of the cup thanks to a 2-1 defeat at Taunton Town, which ended hopes of a bumper first round proper pay day.

Still going strong: Hampton striker Nicke Kamamba, centre, has continued the good form he showed last term

"There are lots of things being said and we have had one or two conversations," said Dowson.

"I wouldn't swap them for the world. Jamal is very happy here and he is a pleasure to work with. I get on well with him and there is no problem between us.

"We have started the season well and if we are still in the same position in January then no-one will want to be leaving anyway.

"They are under contract and I've got no concerns about them going anywhere."
