Ever wondered what it’s like to be a cop? Well wonder no more.
Seven ordinary people, from a dance teacher to a phlebotomist (healthcare science assistant), training to be Surrey Police officers are the subject of a new ITV series starting next week.
Rookies follows the seven hopefuls as they leave the safety of training school and report to the mean streets of Surrey.
The ITV series, which starts on Tuesday, August 23, reveals what it is like to be dropped on to the front line of law enforcement without a lot of experience and the impact on the Rookies loved ones.
The Rookies come face-to-face with violent criminals and learn how to deal with abusive members of the public as they start work in the force’s response cars.
The series consists of three weekly episodes aired on ITV between 9pm and 10pm on Tuesday, August 23 and 30, and Tuesday, September 6.
