After a day of frustration, train diversions and Twitter rants you would be forgiven for thinking your commute this morning would be easier after yesterday’s Southern Rail strike.
You would be wrong.
The much-maligned rail service has tweeted this morning that services across the network “may be cancelled or delayed due to train crew shortages”.

The disruption comes just a day after yesterday’s strike, called by the RMT union, led to many train routes being cancelled and caused numerous commuter’s to express their anger on social media.
Ticket acceptance is in place with a number of operators, including on some buses between Brighton and London Bridge.
In the meantime, Southern Railway has also tweeted a handy link for you to claim compensation while you wait on the platform.
