Former Brentford and Charlton striker Marcus Bent was arrested at Chessington World of Adventures yesterday for alleged cocaine possession.
Mr Bent, who also played for Crystal Palace during his 17-year professional career, appeared in Wimbledon Magistrates court this morning charged with possession of a class A substance.
The former England under-21 international, who lives in Bridge Road, East Molesey, was yet to enter a plea at the time of writing.
