Guy Sowdon, from Rosebery Road, Langley Vale, won an Akademia Music Award in November in Los Angeles for his breakthrough ballad, ‘Think Again’.

When that song got played on US radio stations Mr Sowdon was contacted by a record producer who wanted Think Again to feature on an album of new artists called ‘A Breath of Fresh Air’.

Mr Sowdon said: “Think Again is really a love song – I guess it was got popular over in the states because people could really relate to it.

“Basically the message of the song is to ask a romantic partner to think again about being with someone else.”

The former St Andrew’s Catholic School student has also released the first six tracks of his new album of ballads, the tongue-in-cheek title of which is ‘A Load of Ballads’, on SoundCloud.

Fans can listen to the tracks – all pop-rock ballads – for free.
