Nominees for the best businesses in Epsom and Ewell were announced yesterday ahead of the November award ceremony, with some familiar names topping the bill.

What’s On in Epsom has been nominated for two awards – Best Website/Social Media and Best Business Personality – as has Mary Zoeller Associates.

And the Best New Business gong will be fought out between Jo Jones Creative, Hannan HQ and Country Clothing and Store, while Adam Plowden, Lucie Oliver and Jessica Rea have all been nominated for Best Young Entrepreneur.

One of the judges, Epsom Guardian content editor Becky Middleton, said: “There was a very high standard of applications this year and it was a very difficult task to narrow the entries down.

“Congratulations to all the finalists.”

MP Chris Grayling said: “Epsom and Ewell has always had a dynamic business community, and our businesses continue to provide an excellent service to their customers.”

The nominees will find out who has won at a drinks reception on Thursday, November 26 at the University for the Creative Arts in Ashley Road, Epsom.
