Chelsea footballer Cesc Fabregas was handed a six-month driving ban today after admitting speeding on the A3 near Esher.
The Spanish midfielder’s Aston Martin was caught speeding on the 50mph northbound Esher bypass on January 15.
He was given six points on his driving licence, which already had six points, meaning he was given an automatic six-month ban.
The ex-Arsenal and Barcelona player was ordered to pay £2,565 overall by Guildford Magistrates’ Court, made up of a £1,000 fine, £1,465 court costs and a £100 victim surcharge.
He is the latest in a long line of footballers to be caught out on the A3.
