Mickey and Minnie Mouse surprised shoppers by helping to give out love-shaped balloons and cupcakes for charity on Valentine’s Day.

The fundraising event in Epsom marketplace raised £576, which will be matched by Barclays Bank, for child cancer charity Momentum.

Organiser Devenia Besant said: "It really was a fab day and the generosity of the local cake makers was absolutely amazing.

"Also the fundraiser couldn't have happened without the help of the volunteers on the day some of whom have children being treated for cancer and feel like they really want to give something back to the charity which has provided them with much needed support.

"Thank you so much to the public who visited us on the day and donated."

The charity, which supports children with cancer and life limiting conditions, is raising money to transform a parents’ room and playroom at Epsom Hospital.
