Morris men raised more than £1,000 for charity by dancing on Boxing Day.
Ewell St Mary’s Morris Men passed through Ewell Village and performed a traditional midwinter folk play known as a mummers' play.
The money will go to Epsom and Ewell Foodbank, Citizens Advice Bureau and Cystic Fibrosis Trust, which are all being supported by Epsom's mayor this year.
Brian Angus, chairman of the Mayor's charities, said he donned a Gendarme’s uniform for the occasion and the mayor, Councillor Robert Foote, took part in the mummers' play.
Mr Angus said: "I hope people weren’t confused into thinking it was compulsory to put money into my bucket? It was one seriously heavy bucket by the end of the day.
"Sections of the crowd pleaded with me ‘we are only poor peasants, the rich people of over there’ when I asked them whether they had any money left, or whether they had washed today!"
