Police have released CCTV images of “extremely vulnerable” missing Ewell man Desmond Carr.

Mr Carr, 55, was reported missing at 5pm yesterday, September 18, by a family member - although it is believed he was last seen earlier in the week.

According to his ex-colleague and friend Rhys Hughes, the disappearance is “completely out of character” for the father-of-three who he said is “very, very intelligent”.

Police have now released CCTV images of Mr Carr.

He was seen on platform 13 at Clapham Junction station just before 11.30am today, Thursday, September 19.

Surrey Police said it is believed he may have got a train to Sussex, possibly Eastbourne, and officers are now focusing on this area.

He also has links to St Leonards-on-sea and Brighton.

A spokesman said: “Desmond is described as extremely vulnerable and anyone who sees him or who knows his whereabouts is urged to contact officers as a matter of urgency.”

Call 101 or 999 in an emergency.  Mr Carr is asked to contact police officers or the charity Missing People on 116 000.
