A lion popped into Epsom Hospital and had his sizeable gnashers checked while making a valuable contribution to its dental machinery.
Roary, the mascot of the charitable organisation Leatherhead Lions, was at the hospital, alongside Jim Malynn, Lions president, to present a £7,000 dental machine to Dr Andrew Gregory, chairman of Epsom Medical Equipment Fund and retired cardiologist.
The lion took the chance to try out the new dental radiology machine out for himself by having a dental check-up.
The Fund is now raising money for £30,000 urodynamic urology equipment which will assess, diagnose and treat bladder problems. Plans for £120,000 worth of vascular and radiology equipment are also in the pipeline.
