A private hospital has announced plans for new multi-million pound facilities and a new manager to oversee their development.

Ashtead Hospital, in The Warren, Ashtead, is expanding its offering to perform more complex work and will include a new cardiac catheter lab, supported by a three-bed critical care facility.

The endoscopy unit will be refurbished and a dedicated ambulatory day unit will be built to look after day-case patients.

Ramsay Healthcare, which runs the hospital, has appointed James Barr as the new general manager.

Mr Barr comes to Ashtead with more than 10 years’ experience at a senior level in healthcare.
