A Co-op store was broken into in the early hours of the morning.
A tenant of a neighbouring shop, Masters of Epsom, said she heard the security alarm of the Co-op, in Tattenham Crescent, Epsom, sound for 20 minutes at 4am before police arrived on the scene.
The shop did not open first thing this morning, but has now re-opened for business.
Staff at the shop have refused to comment on what happened.
Last month, father-and-son robbers Terrance Clark, 50, and his son Lewis Clark, 27, of Battersea, were found guilty of conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with criminal intent after pistol-whipping a cash-in-transit worker and robbing him of £45k outside the same Coop store last January.
