Young children have thanked the firefighters who saved their nursery from going up in flames.
Bambini Nursery, based at fire-ravaged Ewell Court House, organised the trip to visit Epsom town hall and Epsom fire station on Monday.
Mark Spencer, one of the nursery directors, said the council, who own the building, also deserved thanks after acting quickly to get the nursery up and running after the huge fire in December.
Mr Spencer said: "We are very appreciative and wanted to say thank you in person. The firefighters’ quick actions and tenacity saved the building."
He said they met the mayor, the council’s chief executive and the council team involved before going on to visit the fire station.
He said: "The fire had a big impact on our nursery. We were closed for a week initially, then we opened the ground floor but the upper floor remained closed due to issues with the fire escape.
"That was solved very quickly by our landlord, Epsom and Ewell Borough Council."
