What happens when a group of nuns need a get-rich-quick scheme to fund 52 burial services?

A whole lot of Nunsense, of course!

Dan Goggins’ international phenomenon comes to Epsom at the end of the month for a few intimate performances by the Epsom Players.

The second-longest-running Off-Broadway show promises a night of "star turns, tap and ballet dancing and coming surprises".

The Little Sisters of Hoboken include a range of characters, such as a former circus performer in Reverend Mother Regina, Sister Robert Anne, a streetwise nun from Brooklyn, wannabe ballerina Sister Mary Leo and Sister Mary Amnesia, a nun who lost her memory after a crucifix fell on her head.

Each plays a key role in helping their cook, Sister Julia, raise money for the burials.

The popular amateur production has been performed over 5,000 times worldwide and has been translated into 21 languages.

The Epsom Players are eager to perform at the Epsom Playhouse again this year, keeping up with their tradition of performing every year since its opening in 1984.

In 2008, the Epsom Players produced a sell-out production of Queen’s We Will Rock You, which raised over £7,000 for charity.
