A fleet of toddlers on scooters triumphed over obstacles to raise £500 to help rehabilitate people with brain injury.
Twenty-six children, aged three to four, scaled ramps, dodged slalom cones and went through a rainbow tunnel in Banstead last month.
Horseshoe Community Preschool presented the cheque today, March 22, to a disability charity which runs a rehabilitation unit in Banstead.
The sponsored scootathon was a fun way to thank volunteers, from the Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF), who work at the preschool.
Preschool manager Judith Parnham said it also brought together the children’s learning about the five senses this term.
Mrs Parnham said: "After a tentative start, they soon got the hang of the course with its ramps, slalom cones and tunnel.
"We eventually had to limit the children to 20 laps to make sure everyone had a go."
QEF rehabilitates young people and adults with acquired brain injury rehabilitation through offering therapy and vocational programmes.
