Singer-songwriter Stephen Connor celebrates the launch of his new album next month at a showcase gig at Bar XLR in Epsom.

The much anticipated album Figment of Imagination showcases all his latest songs which took almost 12 months of work to produce.

The award-winning producer George Mcfarlane guided Stephen throughout the process and together with his team recorded, mixed and produced all of his original work.

"The gig will see the culmination of a two year project that essentially started as a means of dealing with a mid-life crisis (I couldn’t afford a Ferrari!)," Stephen jokes.

"But once I started writing my own songs I got totally sucked in, and it became all consuming to the point where I have now written and recorded 22 of my original songs across 2 albums."

The Connor Stephens Band will be performing all together on stage for this party event to kick start the New Year with a variety of original tracks.

This relatively new band consists of GMac on bass, on lead guitar the talented Jordon Humber and Ashley Rushman AKA ‘the groovemeister’ on drums.

The former Marine’s event is supported by the Combat Stress foundation and is in association with Surrey Hills Radio.

Half of the proceeds from album sales and downloads will go to the charity which supports veterans suffering mental health problems and which is based in Oaklawn Road, Leatherhead.

Tickets are available for purchase via the buy tickets app on his Facebook page.
